McCalip - Samantha Jennie Terry

Mrs. Samantha J, wife of Rev. Hugh McCALIP died at her home on S. Walnut Street Monday of consumption. She was born in Warren Co, Ohio June 27, 1839 and at the time of her death was nearly 48 years old. Early in life she was removed with her parents to Shelby Co. this state where she was married to Rev. Hugh McCALIP, who with 4 children, two sons and two daughters survive her. At the age of 16 she united with the Methodist Church and after her marriage united with the Baptist organization. She was a good woman, a kind wife and mother. Peace to her ashes. - typed by kbz
